Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management
Africa Training Institute is pleased to announce the Post Graduate Diploma in Agri-Business Management. This is both an online and Distance Learning Course, which starts 1st of every month.
Overall Course Overview
Agriculture and agribusiness remain the backbone of livelihoods, employment and economic transformation across Africa. Yet smallholders, cooperatives, SMEs, NGOs and development programmes face persistent challenges: fragmented value chains, limited access to finance and markets, climate shocks, post-harvest losses, weak business skills, and the need to integrate sustainability, inclusion and digital innovation. This unique Post Graduate Diploma equips development professionals, agribusiness managers, extension officers, cooperative leaders, NGO programme staff and aspiring agripreneurs with advanced, practical competencies to design, manage and scale profitable, resilient and inclusive agribusiness enterprises and value chains. The curriculum is firmly grounded in African realities smallholder systems, climate variability, informal markets, gender dynamics, localisation agendas and emerging opportunities in climate-smart agriculture, digital tools, agro-processing and regional trade (AfCFTA). Participants move beyond production-focused training to master the full agribusiness system: input supply, production economics, post-harvest management, value addition, marketing, finance, risk management, entrepreneurship, policy and sustainability. Emphasis is placed on actionable tools, African case studies, business planning and a substantial applied research/project paper that can be implemented in real organisational or enterprise settings.
